I am a chemist with a background in Surface Science. I took my degree in Chemistry at the University of Cagliari, in Italy. In my final year project I worked on the synthesis and characterization of Zn and Fe polyphosphate glasses, at the Polytechnic Institute of Zurich, ETH, with the supervision of prof. Antonella Rossi and prof. Nick Spencer. Afterwards, I spent three years as a PhD in the group of Surface Science at the University of Nottingham, UK, under the supervision of prof. Martin McCoustra. My work project was about the synthesis and analysis of organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) through surface analysis techniques (XPS, ToF-SIMS and PM-IRRAS).

I am part of the group of "Relief et Bassin" as an experimental officer.

I am involved in the preparation and analysis of the samples by the techniques of thermochronology (U-Th)/He and fission tracks ; I am in charge of the "clean room" chemistry laboratory for the preparation of ultra-pure solutions and sample chemical treatment for ICP-MS analysis ; I also look after the maintenance, stocking and supply of the laboratory materials. I contribute to the development of new tools for improved analysis protocols.
