Frédéric Schmidt a obtenu son grade de Docteur à l’Université
Joseph Fourier de Grenoble en 2007. Après deux années de post- doctorat à l’Agence Spatiale Européenne (ESAC, Madrid), il a été
recruté en tant que Maître de Conférences à l’Université Paris-Sud.
Recherche
Frédéric Schmidt s’intéresse aux thématiques de la Planétologie,
plus précisément aux hautes latitudes martiennes. Il est scientifique
associé aux instruments suivants : le spectromètre imageur OMEGA
(Mars Express) et le spectromètre à transformée de Fourier PFS (Mars
Express). Par ailleurs, Frédéric Schmidt développe des méthodes de
traitement du signal avancée pour l’analyse de données en Sciences
de la Terre.
